The Big Three

I love this time of year as the excitement of the new breeding season is just around the corner. Stallion movement and potential new sires are captivating much interest. The talk (or rumours) seem to be focusing on three main stallions.

The Lazarus deal looks close to being announced.  My tip is he will stand in southern NSW for a fee close to $10,000 less discounts.

American Ideal is almost locked in to be standing in Australia and the lady that has been given the responsibly of caring for this magnificent horse has a very healthy reputation in the sport.

The third stallion and the one that may sneak up on many people is Rock N Roll World. Reports are, that the team at Allwood have secured the ownership of this regally bred sire, he is guaranteed to generate interest from breeders all over the country.

While Rock N Roll World had an abundance of speed and a was able to carve out a very successful race career, it’s his impeccable breeding in my mind that will drive a huge number of bookings.

While the list above is clearly impressive, a closer look at his pedigree below highlights just how truly outstanding this sire’s dam line is.  When your dam wins over $1,900,000 and shares the same full blood as Art Major and that of the dam of Captaintreacherous, this is one serious horse. Don’t forget American Ideal and Real Artist is also out of this family.

I’m hearing the team at Allwood are considering a pricing point of $4,000 less discounts and if this report is correct, they must be congratulated.  Its horses like this, at these price points that will keep our breeding industry alive.  With Art Major and Captaintreacherous standing for advertised fees north $10,000 it really sets Rock N Roll World up for a very successful start to his career in Aus.

It would be wrong not to mention that Rock N Roll World ‘s sire Rocknroll Hanover was a super star of the sport with earnings north of $2,750,000 on the track – a list of his other star offspring are listed below.

World class stallions, like Rock N Roll World, are getting extremely hard to secure the rights of for standing fresh in Australia.  And, again if l have this correct, we will be hearing a lot more about Allwood Stud going forward.
