HRSA Scholarship recipient Brodie Webster will be commencing a placement with a leading racing stable in Sweden in January as part of his scholarship program. He will be based with one of Sweden’s leading Trainers, Daniel Redan, who is located near Stockholm. Daniel Redan is currently the number 3 ranked trainer in Sweden and has some outstanding horses which are rated as some of the best in Europe.
Brodie Webster is one of the inaugural recipients of the HRSA scholarship Program. The aim of the scholarship program is to reward, retain and enhance the involvement of young people in harness racing in South Australia.
Brodie is 22 years of age, a licenced harness racing driver, and is studying veterinary science at the University of Adelaide. His aim is to complete his studies and pursue a career in harness racing as a trainer and veterinary surgeon.
Whilst in Europe, and as part of this veterinary science studies, he will also do a placement with a leading equine veterinary surgeon in France. The placement has been arranged with Dr Jean Marie Denoix in Normandy, who is regarded as the world’s foremost equine musculoskeletal system anatomist as well as a leading equine diagnostic ultrasonographer.
