heather with leenyIts true the Inter dominions is now a truly international event while Irelands Medowbranch DJ failed to make the final it was other internationals that took the headlines recently in Perth.

Driver Tim Terrick, in his second visit down under, took out the International Drivers Invitation during the Inters Carnival and media personality Heather Vitale certainly was a big hit.

Vitale was a guest on & mates national coverage of grand final day and during the day Harnessbred.com caught up with her while she was filming in the birdcage area at Gloucester Park.

Vitale is a third-generation horsewoman who used to train pacers. “I was born into racing and enjoyed training,” she said. “But busy media commitments now take a lot of attention.”

Amazingly Vitale’s Twitter account has more than 5000 followers and even more than that number follow her Facebook page

“In addition to America, I have followers across many countries, particularly Sweden, England Ireland, and here in Australia” she said.

Vitale is happy to internationally promote harness racing she added I love it here in Perth and I hope to come back next year she told Harnessbred.com.
