Once again, the Albion Park Harness Racing Club will play host to a strong ten race program this Saturday night.

Spring is in the air and it’s the first metropolitan meeting of the new racing season!

The opening race has attracted an even field of 12 pacers with several in-form runners set to contest the UBET Pace over the distance of 2138m.

Gambling giant UBET is offering several jackpots throughout the program including a guaranteed $50,000 Trifecta pool on the opening race plus a $10,000 jackpot.

Included amongst the field is a pair of last start winners – Countdown and Only The Brave who both scored impressively at their most recent starts.

The ideally drawn Village Witch is worth strong consideration following her impressive victory here four starts ago in solid time, had little luck in a very strong field at her latest start.

Prepared by Stephen Cini, the Village Jasper mare is a dual winner at this track.

Others to consider include Countdown, Watch Pulp Fiction, Bettor Than Best, Guys Bettor Bet, Lenny The Legend, Written In Red, Im Johnny Jet and Only The Brave among others.

The Seymour Group Open Pace features triple Queensland Horse of the Year Avonnova who will start from the coveted inside gate in the 1660m event and opposition is strong including Ultimate Art, Major Cam and Joys A Babe among others.

The $15,540 Kevin & Kay Seymour Rising Stars Championship also looks an extremely open affair following the barrier draw.

Heat winners on Tuesday were Karloo Ten Seventy and Real Social while others to be considered include Machin Out, Pompidou, Chapter One, The Charging Moa, Magnussen and Mandy Kriden among others.

The Rising Stars Finals is listed as race 2 on the card – the opening leg of the UBET Quadrella.

A Quadrella jackpot of $5000 is also slated; the quaddie will be staged on races 2, 3, 4 & 5.

And a treble jackpot of $2500 is programmed; the treble will be staged on races 3, 4 & 5.

UBET have also slated $2000 jackpot trifecta pools on races 3 through to 10.
