Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) CEO David Martin joined Michael Felgate and trots news-breaker Michael Guerin on RSN this morning to discuss yesterday’s announcement that the Inter Dominion would be returning to Victoria next year.

Mr Martin said the heats leading into the 2018 final would be held at venues other than Melton, which will host the Grand Final on December 15.

“That means we’ll be having heats in areas where we can draw a bigger pool of the Victorian audience to get people along to the races and see these horses in action,” he said.

Yesterday’s announcement Victoria would host next year’s Inter Dominion was met with celebration from local fans.

Meanwhile, Mr Martin took the opportunity on RSN to wish Western Australian officials the best with this year’s Inter Dominion, which gets under way tomorrow night at Gloucester Park.

“They’ve done a great job hosting it and I’m sure this series will be a ripper as well,” he said.
