steve payneWhy are Tasmania & South Australia shunned by Sky Channel so often?

On Saturday the Carrick Pacing Club hosted its annual Cup meeting you guessed it NO SKY coverage at all no even Sky 2.

The club went out of their way to make the day a success inviting Melbourne Cup winning strapper Stevie Payne as special guest of the club.

Payne, who has Down syndrome, won the hearts and admiration of the nation after the horse he ‘looks after’, Prince Of Penzance, won the 2015 Melbourne Cup.

Payne had his Melbourne Cup trophy on show and even participated in the celebrity pony race.

The Carrick Pacing Cup was taken out by Art Major five year old Major Callum who is part owned by Jamie Cockshutt the Tas Racing form expert.

It was Major Callum’s ninth win of his career and he beat Karalta Dazzler (by Stonebridge Regal)  and Poker Storm  (by Trump Casino) third.
