Sensational weather awaits punters making their way to the Wivenhoe Showgrounds at Burnie this evening for an exciting seven event harness racing card.
The programme gets underway at 17.40 with the Plaster Designs Stakes over 1892-metres from the stand with the Ben Yole-trained Miss Costalot gaining a start as the emergency from two on the front line.
Rohan Hillier will take the drive on the Lanercost – Manhatten Montana three-year-old filly which has won four of her 23 starts including two victories from 12 runs this season.
Miss Costalot chased home Jeanette Barry when they last clashed at Burnie in the Thorate Incentive in January when eight metres separated the pair.
Craig Hayes is presenting Jeanette Barry for the first time in a month while Miss Costalot has had four unplaced runs since finishing runner-up.
Ben and Mark Yole join forces with the favourite Laid Back Kenny in race two in a heat of the Allen Williams Memorial.
The four-year-old is coming off a last start second to Debt Till We Part on Sunday in Hobart, beaten a half-neck.
