Goodtime Lodge is a progressive stud based near Colac in Victoria, proprietors  Ian and Judi Slater are always looking for new stallions and ways to promote the breeding industry.

This season they have acquired Major In Art.

Major In Art, a former USA two-year-old of the year, has just had probably his best season siring 72 individual winners last season including Brallos Pass the Group 2 SA Derby winner who also filled a place in the Vicbred three-year-old colts and geldings Final.

He also is the sire unbeaten two-year-old Wroxton Steel.

Major In Art produced nine individual two-year old winners in the season just gone.

One of Major In Art’s best sons Dalton Bromac is racing in fine felt in Canada, He won 11 of 19 New Zealand starts for $112,583, including winning seven of 12 starts as a 4YO before being sent to North America.

Major In Art of course by super sire Art Major, his dam Miami Spice (1:54.8) is a daughter of a champion sire in Jate Lobell, being out of a noted producer in Town Tattler (1:54.6), by Big Towner from Tona Hanover, by Tar Heel.

This family traces back to the sensational mare The Old Maid, dam of a champion sire in Bachelor Hanover, sire of champion Kiwi pacer Noodlum..
